RSC Hosts Professional Registration Introduction Workshop
6 June 2023
Curious about professional registration?
What are professional awards? What’s in it for me? And how do I apply?
Don’t worry, we’re here to help. To introduce you to professional registration, you’re invited to a workshop that will explain the awards and answer any questions you have.
This webinar is the first part of a series to guide you through every stage of the process, and help you achieve professional recognition for your skills and experience. The series is free to attend and is open to anyone working in the sciences – so you don’t need to be an RSC member to take part.
Professional registration shows that you’ve reached a high level of expertise in your role, and that you’re committed to continuous professional development. Wherever you are in your career, registration can elevate your credibility and confidence.
In our upcoming webinar we’ll be discussing two professional awards, to help you choose the right one for you:
Registered Scientist (RSci) is a measure of excellence that demonstrates your broad knowledge and high level of practical skills.
Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) recognises highly developed technical competence and professional skills that play a pivotal role in supporting high quality science.
Join us on Wednesday 14 June at 3pm (UK time).
What will you learn during the webinar?
The webinar will cover topics including:
An introduction to the registered awards and RSC membership.
A breakdown of RSci and RSciTech and which is right for you.
The benefits of achieving a professional award.
How to start your application and the support available to you throughout the process.
There will also be time at the end for you to ask any other questions you have and understand your next steps.
