NEW PATHWAY LAUNCH: NTDC National Education Technical Professional (ETP) Pathway
24 March 2025
Our first TechMeet of 2025 featured Laurence Dawkins-Hall from the Science Council, who presented:
"Using EPA Materials to Gain Science Council Professional Registration: Accelerated Routes for Qualified STEM Apprentices."
Professional Registration is a recognised mark of technical excellence and competence in the workplace. In this informative session, Laurence discussed the benefits of becoming professionally registered and the importance of joining a professional body.
He outlined the streamlined application routes available to STEM apprentices, explaining the key differences between the fast-track process for mapped apprenticeship standards and other pathways. He also described how End-Point Assessment (EPA) materials are used as part of the Competency Assessment Panel (CAP) process to support applications.
Whether attendees were current apprentices or recent graduates, the session provided practical guidance on navigating the registration process and advancing their professional careers.
