NEW PATHWAY LAUNCH: NTDC National Education Technical Professional (ETP) Pathway
29 September 2022
The University of Liverpool (UoL) is the latest higher education institution to become a Partner Affiliate of the NTDC.
The university, which joined as a partner this month, is now part of a network of institutions that benefit from a toolkit of technical support from the NTDC, which includes professional development and funding opportunities.
Chris French, Head of Technical Services and Infrastructure (Health and Life Sciences) at the UoL, said, “The opportunity to partner with NTDC on the technician survey will provide a new level of information which we will use to transform our institutional technical skills development. It will allow closer working with colleagues to drive forward regional and national recognition for development of technical staff and associated careers.”
The UoL will be invited to attend the annual NTDC Partner Forum which will take place on 6 September 2023, offering all partner members the opportunity to network and share best practice.
James Howard, Director of The Academy and Technician Commitment Lead at UoL said, “The University of Liverpool is extremely pleased to partner with the NTDC. Since signing the Technician Commitment in 2017 and renewing our commitment in 2021, we have consistently sought new ways to support our technical community.
“We are certain that the resources and networking opportunities provided by the NTDC will be hugely beneficial as we pursue this goal through the implementation of our Technician Commitment action plan.”
