NEW PATHWAY LAUNCH: NTDC National Education Technical Professional (ETP) Pathway
LEAF, short for the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework, is a certification in green and sustainable science operations (comparable to a health and safety standard, but for sustainability). Developed by UCL, it has quickly grown since its launch to become the largest programme of its kind globally and is in use in 14 countries and over 95 institutions.

This pilot report provides a gap-analysis on what actions need to be taken to support technicians in contributing towards net-zero targets. NTDC and UCL worked with five key universities; Newcastle University, Manchester Metropolitan University, The University of Reading, The University of Liverpool and Edinburgh Napier University.
